We at Pahwa Impex (P) Ltd get the Advance License/DFIA/Permission from Head office of DGFT for restricted items.
Advance Authorization is issued to allow Duty Free Import of inputs required for export product. A normal allowance for wastage is given, depending on the type of materials. Separate Norms for Gem and Jewellery sector, as per their requirement. For some of the specified items, mainly Agriculture based are not allowed to be import under this scheme. Permission for DGFT H.O. is required to import sensitive agriculture items. A minimum value addition of 15% is required to import items under advance license. Advance Licenses are subject to ‘Actual User’ condition and licenses are not transferrable even after completion of the Export Obligation. DFIA (Duty Free Import Authorization Scheme) are issued with minimum of 20% value addition. In DFIA only Basic Custom Duty in exempt. DFIA shall be issued on Post Export basis and are transferrable licenses.
